Kendriya Vidyalaya WCL Chandrapur has started working in 1984.

Building of Vidyalaya is situated on Tadoba Road , in Shakti Nagar Durgapur, Chandrapur. Vidyalaya is about 8 KM from Chandrapur Bus Stand. It is 1 section school.

Established in the year 1984, Kendriya Vidyalaya WCL Chandrapur was founded under the aegis of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education (formerly Ministry of Human Resource Development), Government of India.

Nestled in the serene, verdant surroundings of the Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) campus in Durgapur, Chandrapur, the school was conceived with a clear vision: to cater to the educational needs of the children of WCL employees, transferable Central Government personnel, and other defense and state-level organizations operating in the region.
